Precautions
To be like a responsible Eco-tourist, you have to under take lot of precautions that will create utmost satisfaction in you as your effort assist in saving the earth.

While going for wildlife jungle safari try to leave only your footmarks but no rubbish. Carry along home only photographs but no "souvenirs" from the wild. Take extra precautions that any of your activity may not disturb wildlife or natural habitats. Try not to introduce foreign plants or animals to the wild. Don't pollute water bodies with soap or detergents.

Be an associate in conducting accountable and endurable tourism with insignificant impact on the physical, cultural and social surroundings of the area.

To become a part of Eco Tourism travel, avoid going for any kind of purchase made from animal stuff. Most endangered animals' products that are commonly on sale include ivory, tortoiseshell, reptile skins, furs and some corals and seashells. It is unlawful to bring any of these products into the country, sever actions could be taken against such purchases, if in any case you are not aware what the item is made up of or whether it is legal, then avoid buying it. Instead, buy souvenirs such as locally carved handicrafts made from non-animal materials.

Use water economically, it is quite valuable in many countries, as there is scarcity of clean and safe drinking water. Take precautions not to shed litter, take it home with you, waste disposal is a major expenditure in developing countries.

Your regard for local culture traditions and pilgrimage sites bless you with immense respect- asks permission before you photograph local people, don't take photographs of holy shrines it might be an offence in some countries.

Essential Skills
Before taking up any tour to any country it is very important to know and read up about the country you plan to visit, you are more warmly welcomed if you take an interest and speak even a few words of the local language.

Increase your vital imagination and also think on much smaller aspects when booking a holiday - for example bed and breakfasts, village houses and locally owned accommodation benefit local families. Travel like Mahatma Ghandi - with simple clothes, open eyes and an orderly mind to become the part of Eco Tourism.

Assist the local economy of developing countries by purchasing local products in preference to exotic items.

It is important to understand that the people in the country your are visiting have different culture, time concepts and thought patterns from your own, it doesn't mean that they are inferior to others in any way just they are little different.

Go for public transport where as possible- hire a bus, rickshaw or walk where convenient, you will be encountering with the local life and will get the opportunity to know the place.

Take small gifts from home for your hosts and the local community.
Enjoy how people interact, and try to learn some words of the local language and join with the natives in the local shop for a cup of coffee.

Remember that there is often more that we can acquire from the poorest people than we can teach them. Visit the main tourist destination sites but get off the tourist track too. Visit the places where the locals go when they have time off. The most important skill that any traveler has to acquire is not comparing the home comforts or other holidays, then only you can truly observe and enjoy new people and places.

Gear Up
Well-planned certification programs can help accomplish the objectives of Eco tourism by offering incentives to authorized Eco tourism operators with a marketing benefit. National broad-based alliances have the best records for maturing certification.

In developing Eco Tourism it is important to give the training to local people and park managers and to supervisor the deliverance of services and products to guarantee they reach up to expectations. Financing is another gear necessary for Eco tourism projects and therefore it is important to keep a trek whether these resources are being used rationally.

Internet connection offers an inexpensive and proficient device for both promotion and development; it needs to be endorsed with other communication strategies.

Eco-tourism is an important device for safeguarding and supporting the variation of the India's natural and cultural environments. Acquire the information about the destination, the local culture prevalent, opt for an operator who is acquainted with and comprehend the various aspects of Eco-tourism.

Also endorsing Eco-tourism groups, nature protecting, cultural conservation institutions and other organizations also will help build a strong Eco Tourist destination even though you are not travelling.
